So delaying the patch a couple of weeks didn't give the devs the time they needed "to get things right" as they claimed.

Just like pushing the games release back 2 months didn't give them time to polish the game like they claimed.

This is what happens when a game needs to much work, has no formal testing process or player input, has almost zero developer interaction/feedback to the player base. Gamebreaking exploits and bugs will be a longstanding part of this games history. Balance is going to swing wildly from one extreme to another as the developers take guesses at how to fix things and this will have a net effect of slowing down real content.

This is just how soe runs their games. They don't listen to players, they don't understand the impact of their actions or inactions, they react far far to late and when they do react it tends to just amplify problems or create new ones.

It will be impressive if DCU survives the first year with any decent sized population, some sort of "combat revamp" redesign to the game or a price model switch. Most likely all three.

I think you really hit the nail on the head with this one Daffid. This is what players who have felt burned by SOE have been saying for years. The frustration isn't because someone got his wookie nerfed or anything nearly so trivial. It's about an apparent pattern of doing business that leads to massive suck for gamers.

Posted an additional video provided by YerYer. The video seems to be linked to an account that focuses on these bugs.

Thanks, YerYer

I will saw this as well: "this is what happens when non-gamers make games." Gamers would catch this stuff before it goes live.

This is what happens when your company tries to develop MMO games that use completely unproven combat concepts (ie: non turn based) using developers that work for you only because they can't get a job for a decent company.

This has been true since SOE's talent fled after the NGE to preserve their own personal reputations and is why DCUO's complete failure to be even a semblance of a decent game despite 5 years and 50 million dollars does not surprise me. Indeed, I predicted it.

You could have given this bunch 50 years and 50 BILLION dollars and they'd not have done any better.

SOE cannot produce quality products because quality people simply are not going to work with moronic assholes like John Smedley and Chris Cao.

It is unbelievable that such a simple exploit as that no-trade went live, let alone remains live for so many months.

I caught this on the O-boards on how to grenade glitch. I am sure it is going bye-bye quickly.

I won't call anyone out by name. I actually know the guy and he runs with a decent guild that doesn't PvP glitch. But this is how bad it's become. No word of a lie. There are people glitching in the game who don't even know it's glitching. They're just the average stupid player base who are doing what they're told to do by players they've come to rely on for information.

Jebus. I didn't even have to go looking for it. I tried one duo and found this conversation.
