I tried diablo2, but could not get into it, but I was fully engaged in mmos. So diablo 3 is a very new experience to me.
Everything about the game is beautiful. The sounds, voice acting, graphics, effects all present a great package.
Playing games where the hero fights swarms and hordes of monsters and then has to climb over a mountain of loot to get to the next room doesn't really appeal to me. Yet the game still appeals to me. It is enough fun to play alone, but much more fun to play with a group of friends. All of which are diablo 2 vets, so I'm always lagging behind.
I'm not sure if all, some or none of the maps are pregenerated, but exploring around them appeals to my desire adventure. The small special little encounters that are sprinkled around are a lot of fun and the bigger fights can be challenging.
I just entered the second act and difficulty has picked up. Picking and chosing skills with the limited ruins I have can make a difference depending on where I am, but the old system sounds fun, but at the same time sounds like something I wouldn't have enjoyed for long.
