Is anyone here playing ESO? It sounded like a mess when it released, so I never bothered.

It sounds like ESO has ironed out many issues since I last tried it during open beta.I am seriously considering the game for something new. The big downside of this MMO is that it does not utilize auction houses to support a player economy. You can only buy and sell via up to five guilds you choose to join. It sounds like the PvP isn't bad if you choose to participate.

The game is buy to play, and it has a subscription option (Plus Membership).

MMO_D, you have nothing to lose by trying the game for free this week. Hubby just learned on the free game time and is in the process of downloading the game. I'm going to try to. I hope there will be a sale on the game soon if we like it. The basic game costs $29.99.

BTW,The basic game is on sale for $9.90 (67% off) and the Gold edition is $29.99 (50% off) through April 18th.

The Gold edition includes all the DLC so far, but if you subscribe, access to the DLC is free. I went ahead and bought the game for $9.90 and will subscribe as soon as I set up my account upon the completion of my download. I've learned the importance of subscribership bonuses when I didn't do it in TSW - - I was under-leveled and couldn't survive a new area without grinding more. I ended up leaving the game because of it.
