This is a development video featuring six devs from the Ship of Heroes team testing out some newly coded features, and then conducting a very short team combat scenario. The characters being shown are not signature heroes in the game, but rather just regular heroes made in the games character creator to illustrate different elements of the game. The newly coded features include inviting to team, kicking from a team, holding spots and then recovering disconnected players, XP and gold from group combat, and leveling up from a team member victory.

Some additional animations and FX are shown, as are parts of six different powersets. All of these are work in progress, but they do demonstrate that SoH is making steady progress toward an eventual full launch. Ship of Heroes is still in the pre-Alpha stage of development. The short team combat sequence shows a team size of six heroes and eight enemies. SoH currently enables variable team sizes of up to ten players, sufficient for small raid teams to practice together in regular PVE content. In the current MMORPG market, this is a unique feature.

Ship of Heroes is a mmorpg being developed in the Unreal 4.14 engine, but the developers have announced that they will be upgrading to UE 4.15 during August. SoH is expected to begin Alpha tests at the end of 2017. Come visit our site at www.shipofheroes.com to learn more.
