Kazara created the topic: Do games industry analysts know ANYTHING?

In response to the storm surrounding Star Wars’s Battlefront II, EA’s telling off by Disney and the huge repercussions it’s all having on the games industry in terms of microtransactions and loot boxes, one analyst is going against the grain. Evan Wingren says games are too cheap generally

"Quantitative analysis shows that playing cards are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment in a cost per hour basis."

"If games start to cost more than $60 I will never buy another fucking game again. Fuck that. These assholes are making millions off that price alone (not mentioning limited editions which can cost upwards of $80) and now they want to charge MORE? Industry is going to shit."

"In Australia the standard copy of a game is $99.95 and on top of that possible microtransactions"

"Ok! If you aren't happy with the money you make, f*ck off! Close the developer and open a casino."

And the Deep State whispered to Trump “You can’t withstand the storm,” to which Trump whispered back, “I am the storm.”
