Kazara: G'night fringers. We are seriously looking at WV for property for vacation/retirement.
Wildcat84: later
Wildcat84: This is one we have that has become famous: «link» Note: We make fun of ourselves...
Kazara: it is late....need to get some shut eye to work in the yard and in house tomorrow before our trip.
Kazara: I hear you...I miss some of my 'old land marks' too. But I stuill get to visit some that remain.
Wildcat84: And when we have crime, they are pretty stupid: «link»
Wildcat84: I still cry when I pass that and don't see it standing anymore.
Wildcat84: This was sad though... NO ONE IN THE WORLD made better onion rings. And they are GONE... «link»
Wildcat84: Ashland is still a very clean safe city.
Wildcat84: You see a bit of my hometown in that video
Kazara: Arghhh...never got into the line dancing stuff.
Wildcat84: Yep, that's where line dancing started...
Wildcat84: It was very famous at the time....
Wildcat84: «link» Have you ever seen this? Filmed in my hometown, Ashland Ky, in our beautiful Paramount theater.
Wildcat84: We also have an AM station that is all 80's. I am old. :(
Wildcat84: A little daytime only AM here, WGOH 1370 is always ranked in the top 10 in our market.
Wildcat84: We actually have radio stations where I live that play only Bluegrass.
Wildcat84: Yep
Kazara: Wow...try getting some of that difficulty on the rock band console games.
Wildcat84: Note that that IS Steve Martin playing a banjo
Kazara: ack...hit that caps key again...
Wildcat84: Kind of rock and roll with banjos
Kazara: Already looking at PA that does not tax pensions and DelaWARE AND ITS VERY LOW TAXES.
Wildcat84: «link» This is my favorite Blugrass riff
Wildcat84: All I can say is Kentucky was the FIRST state called against Obama in 2008. We are sane
Kazara: Looking ahead....MD is such an entitlement state that staying here is not an option.
Wildcat84: Well, we have lots OF them
Kazara: Is WV or KY have any retirement incentives for retirees?
Wildcat84: My grandpa is a great mandolin player. I tried to learn guitar, don't have the coordination.
Wildcat84: Bluegrass is it's own music actually, it is a country style.
Kazara: I very much respect the Banjo...difficult instrument.
Kazara: Wow..serious country.
Wildcat84: Note how close to medieval instruments the mandolin, banjo are, etc
Wildcat84: It's the only country music I like
Wildcat84: Bill Monroe invented Bluegrass.
Wildcat84: Nice... Speaking of my region's Celtic roots... «link» This is our official state Bluegrass song... Kentuckians originated the only native American style of music other than blues.

jubei

ninja scroll follows the exploits of wandering swordsman Jubei Kibagami- a character based on the samurai folk hero Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyoshi and the novels of Futaro Yamada.

It plays into folk legends heavily..a brave and honest samurai with a blessed sword capable of cutting anything.

jubei is inadvertently drawn into a war when he rescues Kagero (Mochizuki Koga Ninja) from being raped by tessai, one of the eight devils of kimon and employed by the dark shogun.

Tokugawa shogunate spy Dakuan appears and informs jubei the rest of the devils will stop at nothing to get revenge for the death of tessai and poisons jubei to guarantee his help in determining the connection between the eight devils and the plague in Shimoda village.

Ninja Scroll is a masterpiece of japanese animation alongside works like AKIRA and Ghost in the Shell. these days animation has become watered down for the masses...computers have sped up production to the point companies concentrate on weekly T.V. series and have forgotten their roots. this movie is a example of what anime used to be...adult entertainment for hardcore nerds like me.

definitely must see anime
