MMOFringe.com has released its New Year's Day Site and Content Patch and boy, is it a big one. The patch notes show that the site's developers are hard at work nailing down bugs and adding industry leading content that lives up to its promise of “One snafu a month” in order to justify its subscription fees. Here is what MMOFringe.com's co admin, kefkah had to say about this timely release.
“March 1st cannot be a more perfect time for our members to receive all of the exciting news we got our hands on in January. Crazy stuff like flawed mmo launches, deceptive marketing practices and some fallen washed up Dev$ trying to relive their glory via Google. We even have a special Roundtable discussion of the State of the Union address. Not only that, but let me tell you – our Win the Site Admin Position contest which we held from January 1st to February 6th had to be the biggest prize we could ever offer. Imagine running the whole show for an ENTIRE YEAR?!! Our members kept emailing me day and night to put up the contest submission form and I am here to say – it is now on our site! Just follow this link to see it in all of its iconic fast clicking glory. Oh, and I would like to thank SOE for providing us the motivation to get this content out. I mean when SOE beats you to an update - you know you had better get your arse in gear. ”
The author of this article can hardly hide his excitement about this patch because it solved the PvP Shoutbox exploit known as the Speed Hack Post. Now people posting can expect to get a word in edgewise when someone like Num_shadow or Kazara goes off on a tear. And after some extensive personal testing of this fix as well as the personal guanrantee of the Fringe's Marketing Department, I can say that the speed hack and the bug where the word “Devs” is randomly swapped with “Dev$” are both completely squashed.
So enjoy your New Years Day patch and all the goodies that came with it. Oh, and I will let you in on a little secret, I hear the Presidents Day Content will be coming our way right before the Easter Bunny comes around. Awesome!
